In my opinion, Victor is more open in the chapter. He is not a loner in his lab, like in the previous chapters. I think Clerval and Elizabeth are the reason why he is different. Clerval, because he is Victor's best friend and he takes Victor's mind off Victor's creation. Victor is also trying to entertain him and have fun with him. Elizabeth, because she writes a letter to him and it makes him think of her and his family.
